Scope drives price. As a typical US-market range, a focused single-team setup runs $10,000 to $30,000. Multi-department rollouts with customization and data migration usually land between $30,000 and $75,000, and heavy manufacturing or multi-company builds go beyond that. Odoo license fees are separate and paid to Odoo directly: Enterprise is roughly $25 to $40 per user per month, and Community is free to license. We quote a fixed price after scoping. It depends on which modules you need. Community is free to license, has a solid core, and you host it yourself. Enterprise adds modules many US businesses want, including the US accounting localization, Studio, and Odoo.sh hosting, plus official version upgrades. We are independent Odoo implementation specialists and we implement both, so our recommendation comes from your module list, not commission. If you plan to run your full US accounting inside Odoo, that usually points to Enterprise.
A focused implementation, meaning one or two teams and a handful of modules, typically takes 6 to 10 weeks from kickoff to go-live. Multi-module rollouts across sales, inventory, accounting, and manufacturing usually run 3 to 6 months. We phase those so one team goes live early and starts getting value while we configure the rest. Decision speed on your side is the biggest variable.
Yes. Customers, vendors, products, open invoices, and transaction history all migrate. We import into a test database first, then hand you reconciliation reports comparing balances, aging, and record counts against QuickBooks or your spreadsheets. Nothing goes live until those numbers agree. For accounting we often recommend running both systems in parallel for one closing cycle, so you can verify a full month before switching off the old one.
Sometimes, yes. If QuickBooks plus one spreadsheet still covers you, keep it and spend the money elsewhere. Odoo pays off when your team retypes the same information between disconnected tools and that costs real hours every week, or when nobody can answer what stock you have without checking three places. When it does fit, start with two or three modules, not twelve.
