Cloud that behaves

Most businesses don't need more cloud. They need cloud that behaves: predictable bills, deployments that don't break things, and someone watching the dashboards at 2 a.m. Our cloud and DevOps services cover the full picture, from first migration to day-to-day management. We work with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, and we design for the scale you actually have, not the scale a sales deck promised.

The goal is boring infrastructure. Releases go out on a Tuesday afternoon without a war room. Servers scale up for a traffic spike and back down when it passes. Security patches land on schedule, and the monthly invoice looks like the last one. Whether you need cloud and DevOps consulting before a big decision or a full environment rebuilt as infrastructure as code with Terraform, our senior engineers build toward that standard, then stay on to keep it there through maintenance and support plans sized to your budget.

What we run

Cloud Infrastructure Setup & Management

We design, provision, and manage environments on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, including migrations from on-premise servers or another provider. Everything is defined as code, so your setup is documented, repeatable, and easy to audit. Right-sizing and reserved capacity keep costs in check from day one.

CI/CD & Automation

We build pipelines that test, build, and deploy your code automatically, so releases become a routine event instead of a risk. Rollbacks take minutes, not meetings. Your developers ship faster, and your customers stop noticing deploy days.

Maintenance & Support Plans

Software rots without attention. Our monthly plans cover updates, security patches, backups, dependency upgrades, and small fixes, with clear response times and a named point of contact. You get a predictable line item instead of surprise emergencies.

Performance Monitoring & Security Audits

We set up monitoring and alerting that flags slowdowns, errors, and cost spikes before your customers feel them. Periodic security audits check access controls, encryption, and configuration against current best practice. You see what we see through plain-English reports.

How an engagement runs

Free consultation, written scope, staged rollout, and support after launch — every time. Here is the whole engagement, printed as the log we work from.

The cloud & DevOps runbook

Honest answers — including the ones about price.

RB-01 Should my business move to the cloud?

Usually yes, but not always all at once. The cloud makes sense when you want to stop maintaining physical servers, need to scale with demand, or want built-in redundancy and backups. If you run stable, predictable workloads on hardware you already own, a full migration may not pay off yet. We start with a short assessment and tell you plainly what to move, what to keep, and in what order.

RB-02 How much does a cloud migration cost?

Scope drives the price. As a typical US-market range, moving a few applications and databases runs $10,000 to $50,000, while larger migrations involving legacy systems and compliance requirements can reach six figures. The bigger factor is often the ongoing bill, so we model your monthly cloud costs before we move anything. You get a fixed quote after a short assessment, not an open-ended estimate.

RB-03 AWS or Azure — which is right for us?

Both are excellent, and for most small and mid-size businesses the differences matter less than the quality of the setup. Azure tends to fit companies already deep in Microsoft tools like 365 and Active Directory. AWS has the broadest service catalog and is a safe default for most web and mobile products. We work in both, plus Google Cloud, and we recommend based on your stack, your team, and pricing, not our preference.

RB-04 Can you reduce our current cloud bill?

Often, yes. Most overspending comes from a handful of causes: oversized servers, resources left running after projects end, missing reserved-capacity discounts, and storage that never gets cleaned up. We audit your account, show you exactly where the money goes, and make the changes safely. If we review your setup and find little to save, we will tell you that too.

RB-05 Do you offer ongoing cloud management and support?

Yes. Ongoing management is central to our cloud and DevOps services: monthly plans cover monitoring, patching, backups, and small improvements. Plans typically start around $500 to $1,500 per month for straightforward setups and scale with complexity. Because Larkwell is a US-registered company with a senior global engineering team, we can offer that coverage at rates small businesses can afford.
